Sisterhood Event: Cooking with Cantor

You are invited to Sisterhood’s Cooking with Cantor virtual cooking class on Zoom!

The choice is yours; Either sit back and watch Cantor Cannizzaro’s cooking demonstration, or gather the ingredients, put on your apron, and participate in real-time as Cantor teaches us with step-by-step instructions for an easy weeknight dinner.

If you would like to learn by doing, you can find the ingredients for each dish of Cantor’s demonstration below. She will be making baked zucchini fries, Cantor’s yummy chicken, balsamic onion and thyme carrots, and Millie’s foolproof brownies.

You are welcome to have helpers in the kitchen and exchange ingredients for others you prefer. Prepare as many or as few dishes as you would like!

Appetizer: Baked Zucchini Fries

  • cooking spray
  • ½ cup bread crumbs
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 3 zucchinis – ends trimmed, halved, and cut into ½-inch strips

Entrée: Cantor’s Yummy Chicken

  • 1 whole chicken, cut up (2 breasts, 2 thighs, 2 wings, and 2 drumsticks)
  • 6 tbsp butter, melted
  • rosemary
  • thyme
  • 8 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 large onion, cut into 8 pieces
  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt

Side Dish: Balsamic Onion & Thyme Carrots

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cups sliced yellow onion
  • dash of baking soda
  • ½-cup water
  • 14 ounces carrots, cut into 1½-inch pieces
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil1 tbsp chopped fresh thyme
  • ¼ tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Dessert: Millie’s Foolproof Brownies

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 bag semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
