What’s the difference between rotgut Bourbon and top-shelf Bourbon? How you “Finish The Bourbon”!
Join Brotherhood for a special night, Thursday, February 16th, 2023, 6 PM at Merrymaker’s, a 100 Y.O. private club on Davis Islands, for a traditional Southern Dinner and Bourbon tasting.
Many will learn, some will compete, and all will judge how to finish or age Bourbon to rival Scotch [not blasphemy, you will learn]. Our Finishing Master, Jack Rosenkranz, Esq, will explain at our January NFL Playoff Watch Party; and provide a sample of what we will experience. Adult education has never been so fun!
If you individually, or as a team, wish to compete as a “Barrel Master” to finish or age a 1 liter bottle of Bourbon in a 1 liter oak barrel for our tasting competition, and want more details, please contact Marc Holtzberg at marc.holtzberg@catalent.com or (813) 610-1224. The “Barrel and Bourbon” will be distributed with instructions at the Playoff Watch Party, Sunday, January 29th to all registered “Barrel Masters.” The barrel will be yours to reuse for several more batches of your design; additional bottles of bourbon not included.
You must RSVP for this event. Brotherhood members and household adults are $30; non-members and guests are $40. “Barrel & Bourbon” Participants pay $40 for the event and get to keep the $50 value barrel for your personal use after the friendly tasting competition, limited to 18 Barrel Masters.
