Staff Profile

Debbie Steinfeld is thrilled to serve as Congregation Schaarai Zedek’s Julia M. & Samuel L. Flom Religious School Director. She and her family have been members of the congregation for more than 25 years, and she previously taught in the Religious School for 18 years. Debbie lives in Westchase with her husband, Steven. Their two adult children, Brett and Rachel, grew up in the synagogue and celebrated their bar and bat mitzvahs and confirmations at CSZ.

Debbie received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from the University of Florida and spent 31 years as a public school teacher, holding several teaching and leadership positions throughout her career.

In her spare time, Debbie loves to travel, volunteer at Give Kids the World in Orlando, and spend time at Disney.
