Staff Profile

Marc LeVine became Congregation Schaarai Zedek’s Executive Director in 2007. He brings forty years of management experience to the role, having held leadership positions in Fortune 500 companies and two entrepreneurial growth businesses, as well as volunteer roles in several nonprofit organizations. Marc graduated from Harvard College and holds an MBA with additional coursework in nonprofit accounting.

Marc, his wife Lisa, and their two sons have been members of Schaarai Zedek for nearly thirty years. Both sons grew up in the congregation, from Religious School through Bar Mitzvah and Confirmation. Lisa previously served on Schaarai Zedek’s Board of Trustees and has been active on several committees.

Marc is honored to serve on the executive leadership team at Schaarai Zedek—not only because it is a meaningful avocation, but because, as he says, “I have seen Schaarai Zedek do so much for my own family. I want to help support and build the congregation so it can be a wonderful resource for all Reform Jewish families, just as it has been for us.”
