Worship

Worship at Schaarai Zedek is about bringing people together. Through Shabbat, holidays, life cycle moments, and learning, we create services that are welcoming, familiar, and accessible for longtime members and those who are joining us for the first time.

Our clergy connect Jewish tradition with the realities of daily life, offering teachings, music, and prayer that help us reflect, celebrate, and find our place in the Jewish story.

Shabbat and Weekly Services
We gather regularly for Friday evening Shabbat services and other worship opportunities throughout the year. Services include a mix of Hebrew and English, music, and reflection, with options for adults, families, and children.

Holidays and Festivals
The Jewish calendar shapes our communal life. We observe the High Holy Days and festivals such as Sukkot, Simchat Torah, Chanukah, Purim, Passover, and Shavuot with services and programs for all ages. Details for each season are shared on our Holidays page and calendar.

Music in Worship
Music is central to our services. Our clergy, cantorial leadership, and volunteer musicians bring warmth and energy to Shabbat and holiday worship through congregational singing, choir pieces, and special musical programs.

In-Person and Online
Many services are held in person in our sanctuary, with livestream options available through CSZ On Demand for those joining from home. Visit our calendar for upcoming service times and links.
