The Caring Community supports members of our congregation during moments when a little extra help makes a big difference. Working closely with our clergy and staff, volunteers provide comfort, connection, and practical assistance to congregants experiencing illness, loss, recovery, or other life transitions.
Our goal is simple: to make sure no one in our community feels alone.
Volunteers reach out with thoughtful calls or notes to let congregants know they are in our thoughts.
For members recovering from surgery, welcoming a new child, or navigating a difficult moment, volunteers coordinate meals when needed.
We assist families observing shiva by helping coordinate food, greeting, or other needs in partnership with our clergy team.
When possible, volunteers may help connect congregants with transportation for essential needs.
All support is tailored to each family’s situation and coordinated with sensitivity and confidentiality.
If you or someone you know could benefit from Caring Community outreach, please contact us at caring@zedek.org. A member of our clergy or staff will follow up to learn more and help identify the best kind of support.
