While the mystics of Safed added four cups of wine to the celebration of Tu b’Shevat, the New Year of the Trees, Schaarai Zedek will be putting our own spin on things this year with an evening of rum tasting with the distillers from Lyon Rum in St. Michaels, Maryland. This unique evening will highlight both light and dark rum and flavored specialties, along with an introduction to Kabbalah, Jewish mysticism, which is interestingly engrained in our celebration of the trees.
The tasting box is $30 for six rums.
The sample sets should be available by this Friday, January 15. at the following locations:
– Westshore Liquor (South Tampa)
– Whiskey Willy’s on Hillsborough Ave by Veterans (they have a drive-thru option)
– Liquor Depot on Bearss near I-275
– Star Liquor Brandon on Highway 60 near the mall
YOU WILL NEED TO ASK FOR THE TASTING SET; they will be available behind the counter.
Everyone is welcome to join us whether or not you purchase the rum.
