Selichot begins our High Holy Days. Before our service (at which the themes of self-reflection, repentance, and forgiveness are introduced), we’ll be joined virtually by Shannon Foley Martinez. Ms. Martinez calls herself a “reformed extremist,” recruited into a violent white supremacist group as a teenager. She has been featured on the TODAY Show and in the Washington Post and has spent over two decades working to inoculate individuals against hateful, violence-based ideologies and lifestyles, using her voice and her story to promote tolerance and understanding.
Our Selichot program and service can be attended in-person or via Zoom.
