Take a guided tour of the only surviving plantation house in South Florida. The antebellum mansion was headquarters of an extensive sugar plantation and where Confederate Secretary of State Judah P. Benjamin took refuge after the fall of the Confederacy.
After the tour, enjoy lunch and Chanukah shopping on your own at Ellenton Premium Outlets. A bus will take us from CSZ to the tour and outlet mall, then back to CSZ.
Participants must be able to climb 2 steps independently or with the assistance of a companion. The tour is 60 minutes long and will include walking on uneven terrain both outdoors and indoors. Participants must be able to climb 17 steps independently or with the assistance of a companion to participate in the tour of the mansion’s second floor.
