Rabbi Dr. David Novak, University of Toronto Professor and J. Richard and Dorothy Shiff Chair of Jewish Studies, has been selected by the Saint Leo University Center for Catholic-Jewish Studies (CCJS) Advisory Board as the 17th recipient of the Eternal Light Award. Appearing with Dr. Novak will be another esteemed theologian, Dr. Vincent Lloyd, associate professor of Christian Ethics and Theories & Methods of Culture, and director of the Africana Studies Program at Villanova University. They will present a public lecture to be held from 7 to 9 PM at Congregation Schaarai Zedek. Their talk will be an interfaith dialogue on an essential topic: “Is there a Universal Moral Law? Natural Law in the Catholic and Jewish Tradition.” Dr. Novak will begin the discussion and then Dr. Lloyd will contribute his reflections. The presentation of the Eternal Light Award will follow the lecture. Admission to this public, community program is free and is available by registering in advance for seating here.
