The Schaarai Zedek Brotherhood is proud to support a Mitzvah Christmas Dinner for the underserved with eight cooked turkeys this year.
Members of Brotherhood and our congregation have supported the Debbie Steinfeld Family’s efforts since 2008 for this annual Christmas meal for the homeless. In 2019, nearly 100 volunteers brought food, cooked, set up, organized, served, cleaned up, and more. Due to Covid, last year only a small group of Steinfeld family members and friends prepared and served nearly 300 to-go meals. This year will be a hybrid model of offering indoor dining as well as a drive-up for those who don’t feel comfortable coming indoors.
