Chanukah Lunch and Learn
Thursday, December 10, 11:30 AM

Look, Mom, we’re on TV! Join us for a look at Chanukah on TV, from Hanukkah Harry on “Saturday Night Live” to the Holiday Armadillo on “Friends.” While Chanukah is technically an anti-assimilation holiday, we’ll see how the holiday’s assimilation into pop culture has impacted our Jewish identities and those of our children.

Concert for Families with Young Children
Thursday, December 10, 6 PM

Join us for blessings for the first night of Chanukah, followed by a concert for Families with Young Children.

Join award-winning children’s musician David Ladon for an interactive virtual concert with Congregation Schaarai Zedek. Incorporating holiday and party songs in English, Hebrew, Yiddish, and Ladino, this engaging livestream performance is sure to get the whole family singing and dancing along in no time.

Challah in the Home
Friday, December 11, 6 PM

Please join us in lighting our chanukiah and welcoming Shabbat with blessings from our clergy, singing, and spending time in smaller groups with families and friends, new and old! Feel free to invite friends that you think would enjoy learning more about our congregation.

Chanukah Drive-Thru
Saturday, December 12, 10 AM-Noon

Say hello and chag sameach at our Chanukah Drive-Thru! We would love to see you at the temple to connect and celebrate as a community. Enjoy festive holiday treat giveaways and connect with our clergy and staff. You can come any time between 10 AM and noon. We can’t wait to see you in all your Chanukah best! We will distribute Chanukah goodies to all, and Russ & Daughters Pre-Orders will be available for pick up. Feel free to decorate your cars for Chanukah, we would love to have pictures to post on our Facebook page after the event!

Miraculously Magical Chanukah Celebration
Sunday, December 13, 5 PM

Ben Seidman is a magician and illusionist who has been featured on television and in Vegas. His new Zoom show is fun for all ages, and we are so excited to have him bring a little magic to our Chanukah celebration. If you thought one night’s worth of oil lasting for eight days was amazing, you haven’t seen anything yet! Thank you to Brotherhood and Sisterhood for making this magical evening possible.

Join as participants from our 20s+30s community lead us all in welcoming the seventh night of Chanukah. 20s+30s will continue the evening with their annual 20s+30s Chanukah Party on Zoom!

Wednesday, December 16, 6:15 PM

Join us for a congregational-wide menorah lighting, then switch Zoom rooms and stay for some 20s+30s fun. We will have games, a raffle, a chance to schmooze, and a chance to learn a little bit about Chanukah!
