♦ CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND – Used to record mandatory assessments from new members and contributions from others (including existing members), and expenditures for new construction and major renovation projects selected by the Board of Trustees.
♦ CEMETERY FUND – Fund is to be used to provide perpetual care for the Congregation’s cemetery.
♦ CSZ ENDOWMENT FUND – The income from the fund is used to maintain, develop and expand the religious, cultural, educational, social and philanthropic activities of the Congregation; to expand or renovate Temple facilities, if the expenditure is in the nature of a capital expenditure; to meet emergency requirements of the Congregation.
♦ INTERFAITH & OUTREACH FUND – Used to record support, revenue, and expenses of special activities connected with the outreach program including intermarried and Jews-by-choice.
♦ JEWISH CONTINUITY AND LEADERSHIP PILLAR FUND – Used to support the enhancement of Jewish identity among members of Congregation Schaarai Zedek and their families as well as the development of lay leadership.
♦ MEMORIAL FUND – Used for memorial projects or capital expenditures.
♦ PRAYER BOOK FUND – Used to purchase new prayer books or replace used prayer books within the Congregation.
♦ SCHAARAI ZEDEK PILLAR FUND – Used to support the sacred day-to-day work, including capital expenditures at Congregation SchaaraI Zedek.
♦ SUSTAINING FUND – Used for operating support, revenue, and expenses of the Congregation.
♦ ABE & SADIE ZBAR FAMILY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP – Endowment Fund is to be used to pay dues, fees, and tuition of the many families who are members of Congregation Schaarai Zedek and who are on special dues arrangement.
♦ CHARLES J. & BARBARA ADLER FUND – Used to record support, revenue, and expenses of Charles Adler’s favorite projects.
♦ HIRSCH FAMILY ENDOWMENT FUND – Fund is to provide for the repair and/or replacement of Congregational Torahs and ritual objects.
♦ LAWRENCE DAVID HOFFMAN MITZVAH ENDOWMENT FUND – To help meet the emergency and special needs of CSZ members as well as other Jews and non-Jews who live in Hillsborough and Pasco counties.
♦ LILLYAN DEE NEUSNER LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT & LONG RANGE PLANNING ENDOWMENT FUND – Used for costs associated with CSZ’s leadership training or long-range planning.
♦ SAUL RACHELSON ENDOWMENT FUND – Fund is a general unrestricted endowment fund.
♦ CHAIR OF RABBINICS – Fund is to be used to provide Rabbinical services for the Congregation.
♦ RABBI SIMON’S DISCRETIONARY FUND – Used by the Rabbi for private charitable and educational projects.
♦ RABBI WEISS’ DISCRETIONARY FUND – Used by the Rabbi for private charitable and educational projects.
♦ CANTOR CANNIZZARO’S DISCRETIONARY FUND – Used by the Cantor for private charitable and educational projects.
♦ RABBI EMERITUS BIRNHOLZ’ DISCRETIONARY FUND – Used by the Rabbi for private charitable and educational projects.
♦ DUGLIN FAMILY CAMP COLEMAN SCHOLARSHIP FUND AT SCHAARAI ZEDEK – Fund is to be used to provide money for at least one camper to attend Camp Coleman.
♦ ESTELLE & SAM ZBAR YOUTH PROGRAMS IN ISRAEL & AMERICA ENDOWMENT FUND – Fund is to be used for authorized and official URJ programs in Israel and National NFTY programs in the USA, other than NFTY convention.
♦ MACK PERLMAN AWARD ENDOWMENT FUND – Fund is to be used to purchase awards for the Confirmation Class.
♦ RABBI DAVID L. ZIELONKA CAMP COLEMAN SCHOLARSHIP FUND – Administered confidentially by the Rabbi and distributed in accordance with need, to young people who wish to attend URJ Camp Coleman in Cleveland, Georgia, during the summer.
♦ SAMUEL L. FLOM NFTY FUND – Fund is to be used to provide scholarships to members of SchZFTY to attend the National Leadership Institutes of the North America Federation of Temple Youth and the NFTY National Convention.
♦ SchZFTY FUND – Used to record support, revenue, and expenses to sponsor Temple youth teen members of SchZFTY to attend SchZFTY summer camp and other youth conclaves.
♦ YOUTH EXCHANGE FUND – The fund is used to help supplement the cost of Schaarai Zedek teenagers traveling to Europe as part of the European Exchange Program.
♦ YOUTH PILLAR FUND – Used to support SchZFTY and other youth activities and programs of the Congregation.
♦ AMY GAIL BUCHMAN PRESCHOOL ENDOWMENT FUND – All income is distributed to the Preschool for operating and programming expenses.
♦ AMY GAIL BUCHMAN PRESCHOOL FUND – Used to finance special projects which are unable to be budgeted.
♦ AUDREY E. MESSERMAN SCHOLARSHIP FUND FOR THE AMY GAIL BUCHMAN PRESCHOOL – Fund is to be used to provide full or partial scholarships to the Schaarai Zedek Preschool & Child Development Center for needy families who are members of Congregation Schaarai Zedek.
♦ DAVID A. & MARY FALK MEMORIAL FUND – Proceeds of an award to the Congregation to be utilized to assist in the start-up of a Reform Jewish preschool.
♦ J & S FLOM RELIGIOUS SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP FUND – Used to provide full or partial Religious School scholarships for children of needy Temple families.
♦ J & S FLOM RELIGIOUS SCHOOL SPECIAL PROJECTS FUND – Used to finance special projects (speakers, films, etc.) which are otherwise unable to be budgeted for Religious School.
♦ J & S FLOM RELIGIOUS SCHOOL TZEDAKAH FUND – Used to record contributions received from children in the Religious School and donations made to various charitable organizations.
♦ BERNIE & BETTY EPSTEIN RELIGIOUS SCHOOL FUND – Fund is to provide equipment, supplies, and programs necessary to enhance the Congregation Schaarai Zedek Religious School.
♦ CSZ SENIOR ENDOWMENT FUND – Fund is to be used to provide programming for the Congregation Senior Programs.
♦ EDUCATION PILLAR – Used to support the Julia M. and Samuel L. Flom Religious School, Adult Learning, and other educational programs of Schaarai Zedek.
♦ JACOBSON LIBRARY FUND – Used to purchase books and publications for the Temple Library.
♦ MEYER KOTLER MEMORIAL LECTURE SERIES ENDOWMENT FUND – Used to pay for the costs of an annual guest lecturer.
♦ RABBI RICHARD & DONNA BIRNHOLZ EDUCATION FUND – Used for education purposes within the synagogue.
♦ RUTH E. WAGNER JEWISH CULTURAL ENDOWMENT FUND – Used to assist in paying the costs of a program of Jewish cultural activities including but not limited to honorarium and expenses of Jewish artists and Jewish artists in residence.
♦ BROTHERHOOD YOUTH ENDOWMENT FUND – The fund is used for Congregation Schaarai Zedek youth activities that support and further the spirit of Judaism.
♦ SISTERHOOD FLORAL FUND – This fund is used to provide flowers in the sanctuary for Temple services.
♦ SISTERHOOD SOCIAL ACTION FUND – This fund is used for educational and social action purposes in the congregation and community.
